I’m not a trained statue moving expert but that giant black object sure looks like a pedestal to me. I feel the presence of large cranes give my guess a bit more credibility.

Rumors of War will be officially unveiled on December 10th. The ceremony will include remarks by Wiley, Mayor Levar Stoney, museum director Alex Nyerges, president of the the museum’s board of trustees, and a performance by the Richmond Public Schools all-city marching band. This event is free, open to the public and starts at 3:30 PM.  For now though we can just watch them get the site ready for Richmond’s newest monument. Facebook Event Here
