World Heritage Festival & Festival of Kites Flies Onto Brown’s Island

From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7th, the World Heritage Festival brings food, music, vendors and this year kites to Brown’s Island.

The World Heritage Festival series is expanding in 2019 and coming for the first time to Brown’s Island in Richmond, VA on Saturday, September 7th from 11am – 6pm!

And… for the first time in Richmond, we are also bringing the Festival of Kites!!! Now, let’s see your kite flying skills 🙂

You are more than welcome to bring your own kite to fly, but we will also have a limited number of kites for sale at the event.

There are several food vendors who will showcase ethnic food, fresh smoothies and traditional beverages.

Enjoy a cultural performance show with folk dances from Bolivia, Brazil, Egypt, Hungary, India, Japan, Lebanon, Romania, Turkey and much more!

You will have an array of vendors to choose from with more than 60 artists displaying everything from fine art to jewelry, ceramics to crafts, and every creative item in between. Other vendors include area nonprofit organizations, entrepreneurs, and local businesses.

The kids zone has activities and games throughout the day.
