Forest Hill Avenue and Semmes are a major route both into downtown Richmond. A consistent complaint is the speeding that many drivers engage in. Crossing the street can be a hazard and driving the speed limit often results in other drivers passing in dangerous situations.
According to neighbors on the scene, the red SUV was speeding East down Semmes and couldn’t stop when a car going West attempted to turn into 30th. The driver of the red SUV is believed to have suffered an arm injury.

Hi everyone – My name is Karina Bolster, I’m a reporter with NBC12 (Karina Bolster – NBC12). I’m actually working on a story today about speed enforcement on Semmes in the aftermath of this crash this morning. We were out there in May when several of you gathered to alert the public about the speed in this residential neighborhood. I’d love to speak with some of you on camera today, if you’re willing to meet up! We’re hoping to air this story tonight at 5&6. Feel free to message me at my NBC12 page (Karina Bolster – NBC12)
