After three years of engaging customers in immersive escape room experiences, Room Escape USA will move from its current location off of Gaskins Road and reopen its doors on June 27th as Riddle Me This Escape Rooms in Regency Mall. Escape room fans are familiar with the experience of being “locked” in a themed scenario with the objective of escaping, but owner, Dara Savath, hopes the move will spread his love of the game and peak the interests of passersby.
Escape Room concepts have grown exponentially over the years. In 2014, there were only 22 escape rooms in the U.S. In 2019 there are approximately 2,300. Savath and his team are excited to bring their three current rooms to the Regency location and introduce a new adrenaline pumping two-minute game.
“An entirely new audience will have the opportunity to experience our current themed rooms and enjoy the two additional rooms we have planned, said Sam Chheng.” “If you’re looking for a unique way to spend 60-minutes with your favorite people, Riddle Me This is the perfect group activity, said Chheng.” Corporate team building and private rooms are also offered. The experiences are geared more to adults, but children are welcome. Participants age 9-14 need to be accompanied by an adult.
Regency continues its progress of redeveloping the center with the opening of Panera Bread in May. Beauty Bar by Faith opened on June 24 and First Watch restaurant is under construction along Quioccasin Road. Surge Adventure Park is transforming the former Macy’s north location and plans to open in first quarter 2020.
