Weekend Event Picks: Richmond International Film & Music Festival, French Food Festival, Mozart Festival, and Restaurant Week

There’s a ton going on this weekend festival-wise, from the Richmond International Film & Music Festival and the Mozart Festival, to the French Food Festival, and, let’s be honest, a city-wide festival for your mouth, Richmond Restaurant Week! Plan your weekend here.

Richmond International Film & Music Festival – The Richmond International Film & Music Festival continues through the weekend with film screenings and musical acts (including a big music festival this weekend at River City Roll in Scott’s Addition) at venues around town. See the entire festival guide (it’s jam-packed) and see some of the highlights with our festival guide right here.

French Food Festival at Little Sisters of the Poor – Enjoy a taste of French food and culture this weekend at the 11th annual French Food Festival at Little Sisters of the Poor in the West End. A wide variety of sweet and savory French dishes will be prepared by well known local chefs including Sean Murphy, Chef Michael of Lulu’s, Mike Ledesma, and other notable names from the local French culinary scene, the menus of which are listed below on Friday and Saturday. Get all the details here.

Mozart Festival in Scott’s Addition – Join over 150 musicians as they shatter the glass case surrounding Classical Music. This is Mozart by and for the people. It’s the 2019 Mozart Festival and it takes place Friday and Saturday at venues around Scott’s Addition. The festival events include full orchestras, gorgeous chamber music paired with your favorite local beverages, two headline events full of pageantry and theatrics, and the usual bevy of streetside shenanigans. RVA’s finest local players break out of the concert hall to get up close and personal with festival goers. Here’s where to go and what to see.

Richmond Restaurant Week – Richmond Restaurant Week continues through Sunday, with over 40 of the area’s best restaurants serving up three-course meals for $29.19, $4.19 of which goes directly to FeedMore to support the hungry in Central Virginia. If you haven’t made reservations yet, now is the time! Click here to see the full list of participating restaurants and download all the menus right here.
