Henrico Police identify pedestrian killed crossing Hungary Spring Road

A Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling northbound on Hungary Spring Rd when the driver struck a pedestrian. The pedestrian died at the scene.

From Henrico Police:

On March 1, 2019, at approximately 6:23 PM, Henrico Police and Fire responded to an accident involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in the 8700 block of Hungary Spring Rd. A Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling northbound on Hungary Spring Rd when a pedestrian was struck. The pedestrian died at the scene.

There were no injuries to the driver of the Chevrolet. Neither speed nor intoxication are factors in this incident.

The deceased has been identified as Cathy Ellen Demao, a 62-year-old female, from Henrico County.

This crash remains under investigation.
