If you have tree limbs or other debris left behind on your property, all you’ll need to do is drag them to the edge of the street and the Department of Public Works will do the rest.

As a result of the past week’s weather events caused by the remnants of Hurricane Florence, the City of Richmond on Monday announced plans to pick up storm debris.

Beginning today and over the next two weeks through October 2nd, the Department of Public Works will be picking up storm debris. Residents who would like storm debris to be picked up are asked to place it at their property line for pick-up.

This service is being offered free of charge in addition to regular trash pick-up, which will continue on regular trash collection days.
