Pedestrian facing life-threatening injuries after being struck by driver on Boulevard

A pedestrian was struck and critically injured in the Fan early Saturday morning. The crash remains under investigation.

From Richmond Police:

The Richmond Police Department’s Special Operations Divisions-Traffic Crash Team is investigating an incident that occurred early Saturday morning in which a pedestrian was struck on North Boulevard.

At approximately 3:54 a.m., a Chevrolet Impala was traveling southbound in the 100 block of North Boulevard near Floyd Avenue and struck a pedestrian that was believed to be lying in the roadway. The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Investigators with the RPD Crash Team responded to the scene where they took measurements and interviewed the driver. The crash remains under investigation.
