You know him, you love him it’s Beau Cribbs, previously steering the good ship RVA Tonight.  Now he’s back and bringing a Fourth of July-themed sketch comedy revue Conceived in Liberty to the Coalition Theater. The show hits the stage this Friday for a limited run over Fourth of July weekend. Purchase your tickets here.

Audiences can expect sketches and digital video shorts that make fun of political and pop culture, American history and current events. It won’t, however, be an hour of Trump jokes. If you want to see that, you can turn on the television, radio, newspaper, magazines or internet at any moment of the day forever.

It’s not just about comedy it’s about FREEDOM. As Beau states, “I’m really excited to direct this year’s Independence Day show at the Coalition, mostly because we’re doing it just before all comedy is outlawed in this country forever.”

As an added bonus this is also a fundraiser for the ACLU of Virginia so every chuckle is cash for civil liberties.

It’s morning again in America, which means two things: we’ve survived the impending nuclear apocalypse (for now) and sketch comedy is inexplicably more prevalent than ever.

That’s why this Independence Day weekend, the Coalition Theater invites you to light indoor fireworks with their newest ragtag sketch-variety revue that celebrates all things that Make America Gr—let’s just say, very, very, very Good.
