Henrico Police still searching for suspect accused of stabbing man in West End, victim succumbs to injuries

The injured man entered the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet on Gayton Road Monday evening after being stabbed in the neck, authorities say.

From Henrico Police:

On January 8, 2018 at approximately 6:35 p.m., Henrico Police and Fire responded to the Ollie’s Discount Store located at 12450 Gayton Road for a medical emergency.  Officers located an adult male victim who had been stabbed.  He was transported to a local hospital for treatment of life threatening injuries.

On January 10, 2018, the victim succumbed to his injuries. The victim has been identified as Thomas Clinton McCauley, age 27, of Henrico, Va. Detectives continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this incident.

Henrico Police are still investigating after a man stumbled into a discount store in the West End Monday evening looking for help and suffering from a stab wound.

Authorities say the male victim, who has yet to be identified, walked into the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet in the 12400 block of Gayton Road, bleeding from the neck.

Store employees called emergency services, who transported the victim to a nearby hospital.

The victim is expected to survive; the suspect remains at large.
