Everyone deserves a place to spend Thanksgiving–even shelter pets. That’s why Richmond Animal Care & Control is turning to friendly, animal-loving folks across Richmond in the hopes that they can place dogs and cats in their care with a loving family for the holiday next week.

“Invite a shelter pet to your house for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Fall in love and keep them forever…kidding, not kidding,” the organization posted on Facebook this week, alluding to the fact they hope to find homeless pets permanent homes once they’re fostered over Thanksgiving.

RACC prefers to place their pets in homes that don’t currently have any other pets, but all homes are welcomed.

If you’re interested in fostering a dog or cat over Thanksgiving, email Christie Peters with RACC here.
