From GRTC:

Roadway work continues to progress for the Pulse project, advancing through locations on Broad and Main Streets. This work is permitted during both day and night. As this work moves across streets and intersections, Lane Construction may implement some temporary overnight detours.

Detours will adjust each night as work progresses through the intersections and roadway sections. Drivers are encouraged to pay close attention to Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) signage indicating differing lane closures overnight in locations where work is occurring. Anticipated schedules are detailed below and are subject to change. For assistance, please call the Pulse Construction Hotline 804-980-0084.

WHO: DB Contractor, Lane Construction

WHAT: Night roadway work (milling, asphalt and striping operations) at various locations along the Pulse route. Detours, including overnight detours, are being coordinated to provide the least amount of disruption to traffic.

WHEN: Beginning 8 PM Wednesday, November 1, 2017 until 6 AM Thursday, November 2, 2017. Detour times are approximate.

WHERE: WB Broad St. closure between Tilden St. and I-195 for milling/asphalt/striping operations. WB vehicles will detour south on Tilden St., west on Monument Ave., north on Kent Rd., and resume west on Broad St. (EB Broad St. remains open during this work). Work is weather- and progress-dependent.

BRIEF: Depending on proximity to the work zone, those in the area could hear portions of the construction work. All work is being done within permitting guidelines, including allowed noise levels. Roadway work includes milling, asphalt and striping operations.

It is important to note that field conditions can change rapidly and Lane’s goal is to work safely and swiftly to minimize impacts to the areas where they work. The schedule is progress- and weather-dependent. Pedestrian pathway detours and street lane closure signs will be posted accordingly. Please follow construction signage and be aware of construction workers and vehicles within the work zone(s). Pedestrians are advised to follow work zone signage in the sidewalk area. Travelers may notice temporary barriers while this closure is in effect.
