Construction begins on new Wawa location on the Boulevard near Scott’s Addition

The store will be the gas and convenience store chain’s second within the Richmond City limit.

A new Wawa location will soon face N. Boulevard near Scott’s Addition. Crews began work on the site of what will be the second Wawa store within Richmond City limits this week at 3100 N. Boulevard near Interstates 64 and 95.

The lot, on the northeastern boundary of Scott’s Addition, has sat vacant for several years since crews demolished the former Bill’s Barbecue restaurant that stood on the site.

No word on when the new store will open, but it will likely be in mid-2018.
