The Anthem Moonlight Ride is this Saturday, August 26th. It’s a great event that allows riders of all levels to ride a bit of our city without having to worry about cars. There are two courses, the Full Moon and the Half Moon as seen below:

The ride starts at 8 PM at Sports Backers Stadium and goes through Northside, Lakeside, Bryan Park, Scott’s Addition, and the near West End before finishing back at Sports Backers Stadium.

It starts at 8 PM, but traffic closures on the Boulevard, from Leigh St. to Robin Hood Road, will begin at 7:15 PM. The rest of the course will be closed to traffic at 8 PM. Most roads on the course will be open again between 10-10:30 PM.

In the Lakeside area, Henrico Police will detour traffic to Hilliard Rd. Please follow detour signs and police direction to navigate this area. The course is closed to vehicular traffic but police will allow vehicles to cross the course at certain intersections – PLEASE show extra caution and follow police direction! These intersections are:

  • Laburnum & Hermitage
  • Westmoreland Street & Monument
  • Willow Lawn Drive & Monument
