Museum District Association asks drivers to help keep the neighborhood beautiful

Drivers passing over the median, especially along Roseneath Road, damage the grass and leave deep ruts the association has to constantly repair.

From the Museum District Association:

If you live near or along Roseneath then you may have noticed some construction this week. As part of the constant beautification and maintenance of the median, the MDA has facilitated the installation of wooden posts in the areas where vehicles pass over the median. The passage of heavy cars and trucks across the median destroys the turf and creates hazards for pedestrians. Annually, the MDA designates a significant portion of the environmental budget on repairing and reseeding these deep ruts.

Monday, July 10th will be the first trash collection day that trucks will not be able to cross the median if they find themselves in a tight spot. City trucks are huge and it is impossible to make a turn out of an alley if a car is parked near the alley curb cut. Please help the drivers and protect yourself by parking away from alley openings. Roseneath is particularly narrow because of the median but all of our streets present challenges for truck drivers.
