One of the region’s biggest arts and crafts festivals, Arts in the Park, returns to Byrd Park this weekend.

Over 450 artisans and craftspeople will display and sell their wares from a variety of artistic disciplines including paintings, drawings, prints, sculpture, pottery, woodworking, leather, jewelry, weaving, metalwork, and photography, among others.

The event, now in its 46th year, is put on by the Carillon Civic Association and has been voted ‘Best Place In Richmond To Buy Artwork’ by Richmond Magazine readers time and again, not to mention one of the largest art shows of its kind in the nation.

Free parking is available in the neighborhood (but be prepared to walk at least a few blocks) and free shuttles are available at the City Stadium parking lot. Handicap accessible parking is also available on-site at the park.

Arts in the Park kicks off Saturday, May 6th and runs from 11:00 AM until 6:00 PM and Sunday, May 7th from 11:00 AM until 5:00 PM.
