High-energy cycling concept offering free classes at forthcoming facility in Short Pump
CycleBar will offer ten days of free classes when its new facility opens at the GreenGate development in Short Pump next week.
High energy workouts with a rock-concert-like atmosphere are coming soon to a new development in Short Pump. CycleBar, a new concept in indoor cycling facility, will open on Thursday, May 11th in the new GreenGate development near Short Pump Town Center.
Owned by Richmond natives Libbie Crane and Donna Suro, the 2,542-square-foot space is the business’s first location in town.
To celebrate the opening, CycleBar GreenGate will offer ten days of free rides to the public, from May 11th through 21st, giving riders the chance to experience the facility at no charge.
The facility operates on a pay-per-class model; no memberships are required. Online booking allows guests to schedule a class up to a week in advance, and riders get free towels, showers, lockers, and shoes.
Classes are 50 minutes long and feature tiers for 48 bikes plus LED lighting, wide-screen graphics, and audio with a DJ booth. Riders can track performance data via CycleStats and download the music used in the class session, too. In the cool down period after class, riders can enjoy fresh fruit, enhanced water, and the aromatherapy that exists throughout the facility.
“Our state-of-the-art CycleTheatre and dynamic instructors set the CycleBar concept apart from competitors,” Suro said in a news release. “We’re thrilled to introduce riders to the CycleBar experience. We’re also excited to launch CycleGiving, where we partner with local organizations and nonprofits to help raise awareness and money for important community causes.”
Registration for the free rides is now open; click here to sign up.
