Away we go with “As we go” our 2nd pop up exhibit featuring VCU Alumni!

This upcoming First Friday of May, glave kocen gallery welcomes the week long group show ‘As we go…’ with artists Wilson Wyllie, Morgan Colonna, Dawn Carr, and Kate O’leary. The four women are recent VCUarts alumni, all whom share a similar perspective regarding the natural world and its importance.

The show creates a conversation about nature’s function in both a spiritual and physical context, while exploring the figure’s role in the greater narrative of these surreal, introspective environments. All four artists communicate this core idea through diverse execution. This is achieved through classical oil painting, playful sculpture, and macabre illustration to compelling concept art. The show opens May 5th with an opening reception from 6 to 8 pm. The show will then run until May 9th.
