Henrico Restaurant Week returns April 1st – 9th to benefit Coal Pit Learning Center

The special week of prix fixe restaurant deals at locations around Henrico County will benefit Coal Pit Learning Center in Glen Allen.

Henrico Restaurant Week will return for the start of its third season April 1st through the 9th at restaurants all around Henrico County. The week will benefit the Coal Pit Learning Center in Glen Allen.

The first of two Henrico Restaurant Weeks in 2017, the weeklong dining event will offer diners a chance to experience a taste of the county’s best at a number of participating restaurants while helping raise funds for the center, which provides an engaging learning environment for students from low-income families since 1976. Since its inception in April 2015, Henrico Restaurant Week has raised more than $14,000 for the Virginia Home for Boys and Girls and the Henrico Christmas Mother. Coal Pit is a first time recipient.

The April edition of the week will offer diners lunch and dinner options: a two-course lunch for $10 or $15 and a three-course dinner for $20, $25, or $30 at participating establishments. Each restaurant will donate $1 from the sale of each lunch and $2 from each dinner during the week to the school.

Participating restaurants will be announced soon. Past participants have included Tarrant’s West, Texas de Brazil, Travinia Italian Kitchen and Wine Bar, Union Table and Tap, Maggiano’s Little Italy, India K’Raja, Buz and Ned’s Real Barbecue, Mama Cucina, Charles’ Kitchen, Trak’s Richmond, and Deep Run Roadhouse among others.

Restaurants interested in participating in Henrico Restaurant Week can call 804.262.1700, extension 1 or send an email here.
