NO BS CREAM ALE

One of my favorite Richmond bands is collaborating with one of my favorite venues  and one of the newest breweries (sorry Three Notched you have broken into my favorite brewery category yet) and RVAMag my second favorite news source that uses RVA in their title.

As you’d expect RVAMag has all the details with pictures and they sound delicious.

We immediately reached out to Lucas Fritz, co-owner of The Camel and The Broadberry, and began to talk about our perfect collaboration, and what would be a really good brew for local music lovers.

Through these talks we brought up one of the most popular bands from Richmond, NO BS! Brass. Lucas was happy to reach out to Reggie Pace and talk to him about some ideas for this brew. In the end it all came together for us to work with Three Notch’d to make NO BS! Cream Ale. This will be an extremely tasty cream ale that is smooth and easy to drink. We were really looking to make something that anyone can enjoy, and something we can have on tap at our local spots.

OUT WITH THE FOOD IN WITH THE CASKS

I love heading to Hardywood during their Thursday food courts. It means everyone in our family can get a different dinner, enjoy a beer and top it off with ice cream. We also live vicariously through all the dog owners and get to pet some pups. With WINTER COMING® the food court isn’t such a great idea. Hardywood though still wants to make Thursdays special and has created Cask Night.

For the month of December in place of our Winter Food Truck Court we will feature a cask variant of Gingerbread stout each week along with one food truck on site.

Food service is available from 5:30-9pm (the brewery is open until 10pm; last call 9:30) All ages are welcome at the brewery. Virginia ABC law prohibits bringing outside alcoholic beverages on-site, and underage drinking will be strictly prohibited. Dogs are permitted in our outdoor areas on their leashes.

A pin of coconut GBS will be tapped at 4pm. Get it while it lasts

BEER LIGHTS

This weekend is the Grand Illumination. Which is a fancy word for throwing the on switch for a bunch of downtown lights. For years it was our tradition to head to Legend Brewing for dinner and a few beers to watch the skyline light up. Legend embraces the event and will have a newly released Barleywine (Releasing Dec 1), Chocolate Porter and Winter White. Live music with the BopCats will keep you entertained.

The Grand Illumination is on Friday, December 2nd, and the lights are expected at 5:55 PM so plan accordingly. For parties over eight Legend is highly recommending that you make a reservation.

CROSSING SIGNS

Triple Crossing‘s Fulton facility is moving ever closer to being a reality. They posted these signs that I had to sure because they’re just that cool.
