The house was used in 1985 in the HBO movie “Finnegan Begin Again”, starring Robert Preston, Mary Tyler Moore, Sylvia Sidney, and Sam Waterston. After filming was completed, and later in the same year, Dr. James Paul McTamaney bought and demolished the house, and re-erected it in the Bon Air area.

The interior trim of the house was described as of oak and pine, with sliding pocket doors, morbelized slate fireplaces, beveled glass doors, and stained-glass windows in the dining room. It originally had a three-story cariage house, which burned in the 1970s. [OME]
