Lickinghole Creek Craft Brewery released Carrot Cake Imperial Amber Ale last weekend. This weekend their All You Can Pick Sunflower Weekends continue at the Farm. Everyone is welcome to come to the Farm and pick sunflowers free of charge during Tasting Room Hours of Operation (Fri 5 pm – 9 pm, Sat & Sun 12 pm – 8 pm). Closed toe shoes & long pants are recommended. See you can have your cake and flowers too.

TWO CENTERS OF THE UNIVERSE

Center of the Universe Brewing Company, which recently overhauled its original taproom and production facility on Air Park Road in Ashland, announced this morning it will expand to a second location in historic Downtown Ashland. You can read the full story from earlier this week and if you like beer you definitely should.

THE LEGEND GROWS KINDA SORTA MAYBE

This article on Richmond BizSense.Com goes into great detail about Legend wanting to expand but not having any definitive plans or money to do said expansion. Regardless something to keep an eye on maybe.

Gott said Legend is exploring all of its options, including private financing to funding the upgrades out of their own pockets. He added the brewery is hoping to meet with city and state economic development officials to identify grants and possible incentives that could help finance the expansion.

LET THE FESTING CONTINUE

It’s Oktoberfest Time which beens lederhosen and liters of beer. Links to the events below, we’ll add them as we find them. You know what to expect: German beers, German food, and German music.
