Dragons will be on the James this weekend

Twenty rowers riding a dragon boat as a drummer lays down a rhythmic beat is only part of what you can expect to see at the Walgreens Richmond International Dragon Races.

This Saturday, August 6th from 8 AM to 4 PM at Rocketts Landing you can expect to see these 40 foot canoes race 500 meters. The teams are made of businesses, social groups, and friends that want to get out there and have fun.

Besides the racing there will be traditional Chinese dancers, performers, food vendors and beer.
