O’Toole’s turning 50 and throwing a party

During winter storms one of the first places to re-open is always O’Toole’s. If you can find a non-vegetarian  neighbor that hasn’t enjoyed an O’Toole’s burger I’ll be very surprised. St. Patrick’s Day doesn’t feel right unless you have at least one, more likely many more than one, Guinness while standing elbow to elbow with hundreds of strangers and best friends at the bar of O’Toole’s. These are just a few of the reasons the local restaurant has made the half century mark.

The neighborhood friend has a birthday this weekend and it’s a biggie.

From Facebook we get the details of Saturday’s, October 8th event:

It’s O’Toole’s 50th Anniversary. RVA’s oldest Irish Pub. Whether you have been coming here your whole life or this is the first time, come all. Live music starting at noon and going all night long, with food specials priced as they were 50 years ago. There will be give aways, a cornhole tournament with prizes, the famous Guiness Girls! Fun for the whole family.
