Local after-school activities cancelled due to weather

Batten down the hatches and don’t go to your after-school activity.

From RPS:

IMPORTANT ALERT: Richmond Public Schools has cancelled all after school activities scheduled for Wednesday, February 24, due to inclement weather forecast. Aftercare programs will remain open until 6 p.m.

As always, the safety and security of students remains a top priority in this decision-making process.

For more information, contact the Public Information Office at (804) 780-7100.

Chesterfield and Henrico have also now cancelled after-school activities.

There are reports of various private schools following suit and cancelling activities. If your child doesn’t go to public school you’ll want to check with the school to see if planned activities are still happening.
